WHY SINGAPORE ?

Singapore is a great destination for completing higher education. Its universities rank high in the list of global universities. Around 50,000 foreign students are already pursuing higher studies in the country. Singaporean government gives subsidies on tuition fees under some special terms and conditions. The average cost of studying at a Singapore university is between 8,000 to 15,000 Singaporean dollars.

EDUCATION SYSTEM IN SINGAPORE

In Singapore, primary school is of 6 years, secondary school is of 4-6 years and post-secondary school is of 1-3 years duration. Students can pursue higher studies through Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Special Diploma programs and Bachelor or Ph.D. courses. The Diploma or Advanced Diploma programs generally have 2 to 3 years duration. The Bachelor and Ph.D. courses have 3-4 years and 1-2 years duration respectively.

TYPES OF INSTITUTION

There are a total of 430 schools for children’s education in Singapore. The schools mainly run IB programs. There are around 34 universities in Singapore out of which 6 are national universities. Singaporean universities are popular around the world for their academic excellence. They are also known for conducting high stakes research works.

ADMISSIONS

Students need to file admission applications through online or offline mode. They also need to mention scores of TOEFL, IELTS and PTE tests and get student visas to study in Singaporean universities. SAT scores may be asked by some universities for admission. Good high school academic performance is also required in some instances. To apply for post-graduate courses students must share scores of GMAT or GRE exams.
