In mathematics, tables of trigonometric functions are useful in several areas. Before the existence of pocket calculators, trigonometric tables were essential for navigation, science and engineering. Trigonometry table and tabulated values are for some or all of the six trigonometric functions for various angular values. Once an essential tool for scientists, engineers, surveyors, and navigators, trigonometry tables became obsolete with the availability of computers.
When two angles add up to 900, then anyone angle is the complement of the other. Trigonometric ratios of complementary angles help in simplifying problems. The trigonometric table is made up of following trigonometric ratios that are interrelated to each other – sine, cosine, tangent, cosecant, secant, and cotangent. The Trigonometric ratios table gives us the values of standard trigonometric angles such as 0°, 30°, 45°, 60°, and 90°. Trigonometry is used for finding the angles or the sides of the triangle. Right- Angled Triangle: Here in the figure, a right-angled triangle is shown having hypotenuse (the longest side), base (adjacent), height (opposite), and angle. The basic functions of trigonometry are sine, cosine, and tangent.
