Chapter “Constructions” includes division of a line segment, constructions of tangents to a circle, line segment bisector and many more. Students in class 9, study some basics of constructions like drawing the perpendicular bisector of a line segment, bisecting an angle, triangle construction etc. Using Class 9 concepts, students in Class 10 will learn about some more constructions along with the reasoning behind that work. For this chapter will also help students, which they have learned about building in earlier classes. Students will study how to divide a line segment, whereas, in Exercise 11.2, they will study the construction of tangents to a circle. Methods and steps for construction are explained, and also some examples are additionally given to make it clearer to the students.
