Natural vegetation is the plant life of a region. Animals which live in their natural habitat; usually away from human habitations; are wildlife. Wildlife plays an essential role in balancing the environment. Wildlife provides stability to different processes of nature. Natural Vegetation: The naturally growing plant cover; without human aid; is called natural vegetation. Flora: Plant species of a particular region or period are called flora. Fauna: The animal species of a specific area or period are called fauna. Vegetation provides shelter to animals and us with timber and many other forest produce. Plants also produce oxygen. Natural vegetation is generally classified into three broad categories: Forests, Grasslands and Shrubs.
