GMAT Exam Pattern

  • Before you start your exam, you will have to select up to 5 schools/programs to receive your official score report. There is no charge for sending scores to 5 schools/programs. The selection of schools or programs to be done wisely, once it selected cannot be changed. A fee is required to send additional score reports.
  • The GMAT has 4 sections. You will have the opportunity to take two optional eight minutes break during the exam. It is a computer-based standardized test developed by Graduate Management.

  • Verbal and Quantitative Scores

  • Verbal and Quantitative scores range from 0 to 60 Verbal and Quantitative are on a fixed scale and can be prepared across all GMAT test administrations
  • Analytical Writing Assessment Score

  • Analytical Writing Assessment Score ranges from 0 to 6 in half-point intervals based on analysis of Argument essay.
  • Analytical writing scores are reviewed by an additional human rater and can be adjusted. If you are in doubt that your scores are not accurate, there is an option to rescoring your essay by filling out the Essay Rescore Request Form.
  • Integrated Reasoning Score

  • Integrated Reasoning (IR) scores range from 1 to 8 in single-digit intervals based on the number of questions you answered correctly. The questions designed in the Integrated Reasoning Score are to measure how well you integrate data to solve complex problems, and you must have responded to all the answers correctly to get a credit score.

  • Total GMAT scores range from 200 to 800 The total GMAT score is entirely based on the performance given in the Quantitative and Verbal Reasoning section. Your raw count turns into a number in the total score range
  • Note: Failure to complete all sections of the examination attracts a penalty. Your GMAT score is calculated based on the number of questions you answered. Your score will decrease significantly with each unanswered question. If you have cancelled your score and want to retake the exam then you are allowed to take the exam 5 times in a year, but only once in a period of 16 days.

      What happens if candidates don't accept the scores in 2 minutes after the test?
