Syllabus - Optional Subjects


The syllabus for General Studies Paper-I includes current affairs, history of India, Indian polity, Indian and world geography, Indian governance, economic and social development, general science and general issues on environmental ecology, biodiversity and climate change.

The syllabus for General Studies Paper-II (CSAT) includes comprehension, logical reasoning, basic numeracy, and decision making & problem-solving.

Paper-VI & Paper-VII (Optional subject)

List of optional subjects:-

Social Science:- Economics, Geography, History, Philosophy, Political Science and International Relations, Psychology, Public Administration, Sociology, Law & Statistics.

Engineering:- Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering & Mathematics.

Science:- Agriculture, Botany, Chemistry, Anthropology, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Physics, Zoology & Geology.

Medical:- Medical Science.

Commerce & Management:- Commerce and Accountancy & Management.

List of Indian Languages:- Assamese, Bengali, Dogri, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Maithili, Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu & English.
