JEE Main Exam Pattern


JEE Main has a fixed format of exam. It comprises of two compulsory papers for admission in B.E / B.Tech Courses and three compulsory papers for admission in B. Arch and B. Planning courses. One Additional Paper (Paper III) is Introduced for B.Arch Students, i.e. Drawing test, which will be conducted in offline mode (pen-paper based).

JEE Main 2023 Consists of 3 Main Subjects Namely, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

How merit ranking is determined when there is a tie?

1. if the candidate is acquiring equal marks/percentile, then among themselves merit will be determined to below sequence :-
(a) Candidate acquiring higher marks/percentile in Maths.
(b) Candidate acquiring higher marks/percentile in Physics,
(c) Candidate acquiring higher marks/percentile in chemistry,
(d) Candidate who is older is preferred.
